Spooktober 2014

Spooktober begins tomorrow!

Last year I did a series of posts on Silent Hill. There isn’t going to be any unified theme this time around; instead I’ll be prattling on about a variety of horror-related subjects. It will be like a wonderful and varied bag of halloween sweets, minus the stale popcorn.

Our regular Otherbound posts will continue as scheduled, except not actually as scheduled because they’ll be much slower than usual. But still scheduled, sort of. It’s complicated.

The State of The Blog

It’s Blog-o-nouncement time!

I had a schedule in mind for what my blog activities were going to consist of until the end of the year. Due to procrastination laziness my rampant and all-consuming perfectionism those plans are now out of whack, and as such I need to make a few concessions.

Well, one concession: Let’s Read The Dresden Files is going on hiatus, both so that I can get everything I want done and because the current book is boring me to tears. The hiatus might or might not be permanent. We’ll have to see.

(If for some reason you absolutely must have Jim Butcher Let’s Reads in your life you may be able to get your fix here)

That means I should be able to finish Otherbound by the end of the month. Hopefully. Once October begins than Spooktober will also begin, which means me rambling on for pages and pages about horror games and movies and other stuff. Toward the end of that month a certain novella is coming out and I intend to Let’s Read it in between doing NaNoWriMo, which I will also be blogging once again. Said novella is disappointingly short so I’m probably going to take my time with it in the hope that it will carry me right through December.

So there you have it! The official Doing In The Wizard schedule for the rest of the year. I’m also planning on increasing the number of reviews I write, since I’ve been lax on that front and I’d like to get back into the swing of writing them.
